Local Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers, Burgis & Bullock are hosting two free budget seminars in March, following Gordon Brown’s 11th budget speech since Labour came to power in 1997.
As this could be Mr Brown’s last budget statement, as he hopes to succeed Prime Minister Tony Blair later this year, what can local businesses expect from the budget?
John Payne, a tax partner at Burgis & Bullock comments: “The government is publishing its Climate Change Bill aiming to cut Britain’s carbon dioxide emissions by 60% by the Year 2050, so the Budget on Wednesday 21 March is likely to include big tax changes to help us towards a low carbon economy.”
The free budget seminars will take place on Thursday 22 March from 12.00pm-2.30pm at The Draycote Hotel, near Rugby or alternatively on Friday 23 March from 7.45am-10.30am at the Trident Technology and Business Centre in Leamington Spa. Both seminars are available to all Burgis & Bullock’s clients, prospective clients and professional contacts.
Burgis & Bullock’s team of tax specialists will be available to answer questions, explain the intricacies of any tax changes and highlight any changes in legislation that will affect you and your business. After the speeches conclude, there will be a light buffet available and networking opportunities.
