With the roar of engines and the screeching of brakes, the drivers at this year’s B&B Scalextric’s Racing Challenge had more than their fair share of racing fun.

More than 30 keen racers joined Chartered Accountants Burgis & Bullock for a 90-minute, team elimination heat race using radio controlled vehicles at the Phoenix Scalextrics Racing Centre, near Studley, Warwickshire.

After intensive elimination competition the finalists were narrowed down and the winners with the overall best times were: First, NLI Consultants; second Cranfield Recovery and third Alsters Kelly. With the ‘Boobie’ prize going to B&B team member Rosemary Steel.

“This was a lot tougher than it looks,” explains participating Senior Partner John Payne. “The track twists and turns. It’s not about going as fast as you can but keeping it on the track!”
