Two local Nuneaton firms hosted their 5th annual corporate golf day recently to raise funding for Mary Ann Evans Hospice.

Burgis & Bullock, Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers and Nuneaton solicitors, Lester Dixon & Jeffcoate competed against each other on the golf course, with the help of eager clients and staff from both companies!

The event took place in May at the Nuneaton Golf Club and by organising various fundraising events during the day including a raffle and Irish Bingo, the firms managed to double the amount raised from last year’s event for a total sum of £1,459 for the hospice.

As a non-profit organisation, The Mary Ann Evans Hospice requires £300,000 every year from public donations to provide day care and support to patients in their own home and the services also work closely with GP’s, Macmillan Nurses, District Nurses and the Marie Curie service.
